Abel Tasman Destination Wedding with a WHOLE Lot of Personality!
These two, omg, where do I even start? The moment I arrived, I felt like I was family. With the sun shining down upon the gorgeous Abel Tasman, their wedding ceremony looked out over where the blue ocean meets the sands of Marahau. The Barn Cabins and Camp is situated right at the beginning of the Abel Tasman trail. It's an absolutely magical spot for a relaxed wedding, and Harley and Mark had almost all of their guests staying, which made it a wicked multiday celebration.
Their people were mingling round having fun, being cheeky, helping set up. So much laughter! And that laughter didn't stop all day. What an amazing love surrounding these two.
After a super sweet and meaningful ceremony and being serenaded by friends Lisa and Glenn, we headed out on an amazing adventure with their rather large wedding party! We absolutely took a wrong turn somewhere which added to the hilarity as we all clambered through the muddy river. Everyone came out unscathed though!
After the photos were taken, everyone headed back to the party at the campground, where the musician that Harley had accosted from outside Kmart was performing.
Right let me share some photos of the biggest wedding party I have set eyes on!
The rainbowiest bridemaids. And two very in love newlyweds 👌

There is something special about Nelson weddings
Is it the beautiful summery beaches? Our wild winter weather? Our dramatic landscapes? Our lush green grass? Nelson is an incredible place to have a wedding. We have an array of beautiful Tasman & Nelson wedding venues and gosh, you don't have to travel far to find a beautiful spot for an outdoor wedding in Nelson.
Do you know what I think it really is though? Our people are special. Weddings in Nelson always seem to have the most wonderful souls attending.
As a Nelson photographer, I always love meeting all the different people here as our paths cross, and Nelson weddings seem to attract just wonderful people.
